Australian producer Dep Affect is truly a legend and has delivered nothing less than greatness for Dark.Descent! This EP starts with „Purification“, a most peculiar novelty track, the single-handed invention of halfstep hardcore, seemingly leaving out every second kick to let you hear the sounds inbetween, like looking through a sonic microscope. “Atomichron” combines a midtempo techno groove as precise as the portable caesium clock it’s named after with doom atmosphere and high pitched sounds; “Feel the Fire” then brings in the noise, and “CPG” finishes this release fast and furiously, classic Dep Affect industrial style.
