Starving Insect is a producer and performer of doomcore and dark techno, based in Stockholm. His music is characterised by vast, apocalyptic soundscapes, funereal melodies and march-like, transient-rich rhytms. In his production he’s continually exploring new ways to combine electronic production with acoustic sources of percussion, ambiences and effects, be it with a field recording kit in a metal scrap yard or in the studio trying out new ways to misuse conventional instruments.
