The rōnin roamed the countryside, free from commitment, devoid of favour or privilege, a wanderer without a home. He served no master and feared nothing on earth, his heart as free as a bird and his mind as clear as the morning breeze.

In the spirit of the rōnin Dark. Descent. will host a recurring gathering of artists with an according mindset, genre-defying outcasts with a unique vision.

Rōnin 一 brings together five producers from four countries: Xaero and The Relic team up for a Belgian/Dutch summit, the result being a fierce industrial banger with distinct sequencing. From Germany comes post-industrial legend Philipp Münch, who has reinvented his dormant Phil Nova alter ego to explore a swaggering combination of doomcore style kicks and acid sequences. His compatriot Der Heine (aka one half of Destroy Your Destiny) surprises with a strong electro flavour, and Czech mystery producer Fixed Gear closes the first chapter with a rough and dark industrial track – ominous vocals, glitches and tons of distortion included.
