After a string of much regarded DJ mixes and remix jobs for the likes of End.User, dark Drum’n’Bass act Syk2ne had some second thoughts about his producing duties: The result is two tracks that will surely please the crowds – parsimonious in composition, forceful in its effect. Dominated by crushing midtempo beats and washes of distortion, it features little less else than the bass wobble on „Framework Mutation“ and a signature melody on „Transfection“. And yet, the atmosphere generated is so anxious and dense, it will make your hair stand on end – and maybe alter your genetic codes…?
