[R23007] Emma Susanne – Daisy’s Song
A statement of compassion, a praise of life and positivity: Cubic Nomad vocalist Emma Susanne graces us with “Daisy’s Song”, a very special kind of tribute to a very special person: Daisy was a Dutch woman known from her vlog, self-deprecatingly titled “Twee Potten Drie Poten”, which translates as “two dykes, three legs”. The background is, that the vlog showed her daily life with her partner Nikki and her coping with a rare cancer that led to the amputation of her leg – and in the end proved fatal.
Emma just speaks her mind, when over a simple piano line she sings about her admiration for Daisy, for her appreciation of the little things and her staunch belief in love. Short and fleeting beauty, but there’s an extra serving – a second version of “Daisy’s Song” with additional trip-hop beats provided by Cubic Nomad. All profits, however small, that this little charmer may generate, will go to cancer research.
